Traditional 4-on-4 turf wars return in this sequel! In addition to familiar modes, there are new levels, new fashions, new weapons and much more to discover!

The mission in the district battle is clear: Mark as large an area as possible in your team color by spraying it with paint. The team that painted the largest area wins! Turn into an octopus to swim through your team's ink particularly quickly. You can also easily cross over walls in your team colour or reach high vantage points to wait for unsuspecting opponents or think about other strategies.

New weapons
With the new Blank Dopplers you can make life difficult for your opponents with both hands. The Blob Dopplers also allow you to make a very sporty roll forward to avoid enemy attacks skillfully. Popular weapons like the Blob Roller and the Blob Concentrator are also back with small adjustments and there are some special weapons to choose from.

Mode: Salmon Run
Work in this mode with up to three other players on the team to defeat hordes of salmonids and pick up the precious fish eggs they leave behind.

Local¹ and Online Multiplayer Mode²
In Splatoon 2, you can battle it out in local multiplayer mode, in TV mode or on the go in handheld or table mode. Up to ten Nintendo Switch consoles - eight players and two viewers - can join together via a wired LAN connection when they are in their station to play local private tournaments without the need for an Internet connection. Online matches will also be part of it again.

New trends
Two years have passed since Splatoon and a lot has changed during this time. Some well-known characters are returning under new circumstances and also brand new characters are included.

New levels
Players can look forward to new levels such as the Humpback Whale Run and the Molluskelbude.

Spitty updates
After the release, updates will continue to add new levels, equipment and weapons, just like Splatoon once did.

Smartphone and Tablet Support
An app for smartphones and tablets for the Nintendo Switch console makes it easier to bring the right players together to fight, and a voice chat feature lets players talk to each other.
